I'm the one who decided in a foolhardy moment to take the plunge, "just do it" and put this site online back in June of 1997. I've designed and run various websites over the years, but this has always been the big project. My life has taken lots of twists and turns since starting this, but now I am happily married to a man I adore named Elliott, and when I'm not doing this I'm off traveling, skiing, sailing and adventuring with my gorgeous man. And now let me introduce you to the rest of us:

Peter Throckmorton has cheerfully claimed the title 'slut' for decades, ever since doing his best to live up to the Summer of Love effort in the late 60s. Now living alone with his family of cats in a hermitage in the Pacific Northwest, he has visited every state in the US, and his resume lists former jobs ranging from librarian to paramedic, from tree topper to - now - purveyor of smut. Heather is a graphic designer, author, sex-activist, and runs amazing websites of her own, including Scarlet Letters and Scarleteen , and her own her own personal site. She has done design work and writing for us here at JanesGuide off and on for the past 5 years. She's also a continuous source of inspiration, a sounding board, Jane's favorite person to talk to about new ideas and projects. Somehow she's managed to exist for over 30 years on nothing but coffee (well, sugar moistened with coffee) and cigarettes. We're still not sure how she pulls off that death-defying feat.
