Two words: Lesbian Fiction. I almost never get to review this, and it is some of my favorite stuff! This site features, "...[O]riginal, well-crafted, strongly-plotted lesbian and female-centric works of short fiction." There are only about four stories here at the moment, and they are as diverse in genre as science fiction and historical romance. I'm certain that once the word gets out, they'll have a lot more available. If you are looking for a good home for your fiction, you might want to submit something. I'm a bit sketchy about the content that they eventually want to fill the site with, but from what I read they seem to want to represent non-kinky lesbian fiction. In addition to the stories, there are book reviews and interviews with authors. I love the tone and design of the site, and I think this definitely addresses a group of folks that are really under represented in erotica. Great idea, and great execution. I see wonderful things for these folks, once the authors start streaming in. - Vamp

There are quite a few sites that review romance or extremely softcore erotica, but where do you go to find out the skinny on smut? Aside from reading our fine reviews in the book review section, this site is the answer to that question! A small group of reviewers, who are also often established authors within the genre of erotica, are slowly building an archive of extremely honest and blunt reviews. You can browse their newest reviews, or look for a specific author or editor. You can also just thumb through an archive. The organization of the site is simple, and there aren't a lot of bells and whistles to distract you from the writing. I read through a couple of the pieces, and I found the tone to be very frank. I didn't see a bunch of flattery or attempts to sell anything. I did see a few zingers that made me sting, and I wasn't even the person being reviewed. This site has quite a few free stories, many of which involve hardcore kink or incest. There are a lot of ads, including animated ones. I found it difficult sometimes to sort out what linked to another story, and what linked to another site. That always makes me a bit cranky! There are a few free movies as well, crammed between even more banner ads and potentially tricky links. The stories are supposed to be original, and I don't see evidence to the contrary. I would be so much more impressed if it gave information about the author, and it didn't have all that ad crap everywhere. - Vamp

Wow, talk about prolific! This London author specializes in Femdom erotica, transgender romance, and forced feminization. She has published around 70 books, and this site gives you free previews (in pdf format) of over half of them. She also offers links to at least 19 of her stories that can be found for free on other sites. This site doesn't offer any of her books for sale directly, but links to where they can be purchased. Beautiful, interesting, and literate erotica. This blog contains over a dozen short stories, and almost a dozen pieces of flash fiction. The stories are clearly labeled and often have unusual themes or elements. An example of a tag that caught my eye was (hard-boiled, noir, F/M). You'll find breath play, fairy tales, gothic erotica, and more. There is a very poetic tone to some of these pieces. A hot, easy to navigate, and captivating collection of writing! - Vamp

D.J. Manly specializes in gay male erotic fiction. This site lists his many books in terms of category (paranormal, contemporary, futuristic/fantasy, or anthology). He provides excerpts of many of the books, and often posts a small review by one of his readers. He doesn't sell any of the books himself, but he does point to the various publishers that carry them. I found his "Amusing Amanda" series of particular interest, as it is written about a woman who likes to watch men make love. I don't see that very often, and yet it is of great interest to a lot of readers. One warning about the site, there is sound on the index page! - Vamp

In the author's own words, "She favors stories that leave little to the imagination and never uses words like 'flower' or 'manhood'." She sounds like a woman after my own heart! This site gives a list of her books, and short excerpts of each one. The ebooks are purchased through other sites. They seem to include quite a few unusual themes, and to span genres from science fiction to paranormal. There is a calendar on the site, wallpapers, bookmarks, and a link to her blog. It is a nice little author's site, and easy to navigate. I'd particularly recommend her to anyone with an interest in pirates, as she seems to like to write about those. - Vamp

This site involves going on a bit of a mental journey to Renaissance Venice. After you enter, you will have a chance to register (for free) for many sections. This is somewhat inconvenient, as they have separate registration procedures. Once registered, you can access all of the delicious stories inside that have been reviewed by other users. You'll find romance, gay/lesbian, BDSM, poetry, fanfic, vampire stories, and other alternative erotica. There is also a chat section, and a lot more. I couldn't access the gallery for some reason, so I'm unsure of what is in that area. There is a neat social networking section that is also free, and it seems like they have the start of a really helpful writer's workshop/community over there. They do have strict guidelines about behavior and content though, so be sure to read the community rules before attempting to post here. Nice place! - Vamp

Paige Tyler writes romantic novellas with a twist, there is always some spanking going on! This site lists each of her books along with descriptions, free excerpts, and buying info. Her work is sold through different sites, so you have to evaluate each store separately when purchasing. This site also links to her blog, facebook, myspace, and yahoo group. Think that romantic spanking stories would all start sounding alike after awhile? Be sure to check out her current project, it is a paranormal romance that involves a werewolf that gives spankings. You don't see that every day, although I certainly wouldn't mind it! A lovely introductory site to this author's work. - Vamp

Ann Jacobs is an award winning author of erotic romance novels that cover contemporary, BDSM, futuristic, paranormal, historical, and comedy genres. She believes that an erotic romance is, "...[T]he perfect combination of sex, sensuality, deep emotional involvement and lifelong commitment." This website lists all of her novels and gives a brief description and excerpt from each of them. There are also a couple of free stories and links to her blog and yahoo group. I always love reading about authors, and she has a nice bio section and a lot of pictures. It seems that she really enjoys her fans, so there are lots of fun things like contests and free bookmarks. I noticed that she has a lot of futuristic science fiction BDSM stories, cowboys, harems, and medieval content. So, if any of those trip your trigger, you should definitely take a look here. On this site you'll find excerpts from her work, free short stories, novel tie-ins, research photos, deleted scenes, book trivia, maps, and a lot more. I really love all of the extra touches that she offers here, so that the site functions both as an introduction to her work and a wonderful gift to current fans. This site combines female desperation, bondage, and wetting. What does that mean? Let me put together a scenario for you. Imagine a beautiful woman in a white dress that desperately needs to use the toilet to pee, but she can't get to a bathroom fast enough. She asks for help, but soon loses control and pees in the car while racing home. It is this sort of thing that is shown on the site. There are at least a hundred free movie clips (usually about a minute long and in mov and wmv format), lots of free pictures, and over a hundred free stories. The movie clips are usually small trailers for full length productions that are for sale (through download or DVD) on the site. Run times are listed, and the descriptions of the films are extremely comprehensive. There are specialty collections for things like "just jeans", "just skirts", or tickling. There are several ways to purchase things, and they are described in the FAQ. If you are more into the audio side, I saw quite a few audio clips for sale as well. All of the models on the site are female, and a few movies show more traditional bondage as well. There is no nudity or explicit sex on the site or in the films, however. There is a message board and chat room, and it appears that the site owner really listens to the needs and interests of the people that post there. This is definitely a small operation that needs some polishing, but it appears honest and well run and offers a lot of free content. If this is your kink (and I have to admit it is one of mine), this is really a haven. - Vamp

Vampires and Sexuality have a natural relationship, a relationship that Vanessa highlights in her Vampire themed erotica site. The actual erotica section of the site has eight stories; most are short stories but a few have as many as 6 chapters and one is even 14 chapters long! The stories have a lot of detail; though sometimes a it's a little too much clothing description and not enough sex for me to consider all of the stories proper erotica, but they are certainly full of gothy drama. Vanessa offers other "vampiric delights" aside from the erotica: she links to some great goth and fetish galleries, including a couple of hot comics. She also has hooked up with another site to sell vampire/goth paraphernalia and themed sex toys. Vanessa's Vampire Erotica isn't a huge or extremely explicit site, but might be worth a look if you're looking for some darker mild erotica. - Shay

Lauren is a self-described suburban housewife and mom who got her start writing while on bedrest during a pregnancy. She has proven to be a prolific author over what is actually a very short time, offering several different series of novels via ebook or in paper. I saw two different paranormal werewolf series of books, a paranormal witch series, a contemporary romance series as well as a collection of stand-alone novels with a variety of themes. Many of those, but not all, have a paranormal theme. I was tickled to see that she also lives in the Seattle area - we do like our smut, we do we do. Stop by her site just to look at the cover art for her stories - some significant eye candy - but then I think if you read some of the excerpts offered you may find yourself ordering something. Wow - this is my new favorite site! xNovel is an ever-growing archive of the golden age of pulp novels. The stuff that I hid in the coal bin or under my mattress during my formative years. This site is all free, making it a labor of love for the owner. Those dirty paperback books - from now-defunct publishing houses - from the 60's to the 80's are captured here in full. In many cases this is even including the original cover art. You can read it online or you can download in zipped text files to enjoy at your leisure. At time of review they have over 700 titles, searchable by author, by series, and so forth. They actively solicit help from folks of similar tastes to obtain, proofread, scan, and otherwise help in adding to the collection. Their links page is a great list of similarly minded sites. You'll find lots of excerpts from books along those themes, and even two free ebooks! Where do you find mythology, mother goose characters, BDSM, and bad puns in the same place? That's easy, a Selena Kitt novel! This author's site showcases many of her books through different publishers, and each one has a brief explanation. There are music videos on two of the pages, which made my browsing experience run slow. I was very intrigued by the premises she put forth here. It appears that she has quite an original sense of story, which is less and less common amongst erotic writers these days. This blog is a work of fiction detailing the journey of a vampire named Thea. She is a born vampire who has to save her soul by finding true love (and having it reciprocated) by the time she is twenty. If she can't do that, she'll turn evil. She has decided that seduction is the path to love (which I suppose is a very young mistake to make), and goes through a series of seductions. If she is successful she will have to choose between becoming human, or being a 19 year old vampire forever.
