This blog managed to move me today, and not just intellectually. It was so full of passion, pain, longing, love, and loss that I cried. It is written by Oatmeal Girl who describes herself as a submissive Jewish bisexual feminist baby boomer. A lot of the writing is in the form of poetry, and perhaps that is how it slipped into my heart and ravaged my emotions. She has a very well developed and intensely emotional style. It never seems overly fancy, and instead feels very raw and honest (like the talk of a good friend). She often speaks of love, but it isn't an easy love. It is the sort that rips through you, but that you couldn't and wouldn't want to live without. Here is an example of her writing, "I'm high on a cocktail of drugs, and they're each addictive on their own. Just imagine the potency of the alternate reality of subspace combined with the exhilaration of creative inspiration on top of that dependable stimulant, praise." On the flip-side of this ecstasy you'll find solemn and heartfelt poems that include moments like this, "I'm doing well now, master./ My moods don't bounce around/ the room. I held up my end, John./ Perhaps you'd love me now." I think that was the line that tore it for me. I fell in love with her myself. Great stuff! - Vamp

After two warning pages (hey, it pays to be safe!), I finally made it almost into Slave Kitten's inner sanctum. The main page of this site kind of reminds me of my very website I ever did...circa 1998 or 1999. You know, solid color background with contrasting Courier text, a few pictures inserted helter skelter. Once inside the members area, it isn't much different - the black background with the bright letters greet you. In the stories area, there are two journal entries (kind of like a blog), and there is supposed to be erotica on its way, but currently there is none. Under galleries, you can find personal pictures, which consist of the leaves turning and some VERY adorable cats (sorry, I do love cats!), and a few other pictures. However, the "sex" pictures are poorly done (very amateur), there aren't that many, and there are more than a couple of doubles. Basically, I think this could be a good personal blog, where people could read about the journey of Slave Kitten. However, I don't know if it's really ready to be a paysite.

This blog is written by a switchy married woman who is actively and creatively exploring her sexuality. These explorations include kink, and she is not shy about sharing both her actual experiences and her fantasies. There are quite a few images throughout the blog, some of which show things like rope bondage and leather clothing. Her writing is frank and honest, "When you are in love with another man, you share some of your fantasies, keeping others secret, and you never, ever call out the other man's name during sex." This quote gets even better when you read the post that this is a part of, since she decided to break the rules and talk about the other partner while in bed with her husband. That brings me to another great thing about this blog, it links to her husband's writing! So, it is possible to get to know the couple separately through their unique perspectives. This blog by Naughtybuttcute discusses her submission. It is easy to access past posts, articles, novel excerpts, reviews, and fantasies. Her relationship appears to involve a lot of domestic discipline, so there is a bunch of talk about things like spankings. One of my favorite posts was "Recipe for a Submissive" which lists things like, "You hear the buckle on his belt jingle and you get chills down your back." We used to get a lot more of these types of sites, and I miss them. This is one of those home grown personal websites that used to rule the web, before the blog explosion. It is written by Seeker's breath{MS}, and you can tell that she found the graphics and designed the place herself. It is full of articles she has written, resources she values, and a lot of personal opinion about D/s relationships. There are links to a myspace page and blog as well. In her mission statement she says, "Please, do not confuse BDSM with D/s. Even though D/s is a part of the three facets in BDSM it is not a fetish, it is a natural way of life." Her approach is very romantic, and she discusses ideas as diverse as the concept of a soul mate and meditation. I really love this sort of thing, even when I have a different take on some of it at times. This is when the web shines for me, when someone taps out their thoughts on a home computer and places a bit of themselves on the internet. That is what I was doing when Jane found me! BDSM is really difficult to film, and most of the time SM in the adult industry actually means Stand and Model. People put on the pvc, pull out the toys, and completely miss the energy of actual power and pain relationships. This is a site that manages to deliver something authentic, and sometimes brutal. Catherine de Sade and K offer videos that are rough, gritty, crude, dangerous, and real. In their own words, "...[H]orrible things are done to this woman; physical and emotional abuse, degradation and so much more. All in the name of love." There are a handful of homemade DVDs for sale, and each one lists a run time and has a few sample clips. They also offer clips through clips4sale, and those come with full descriptions. There is a lot of anal sex, bondage, humiliation, odd insertions, large insertions, SM, punching/slapping, and such. There is even a bit of somnophilia (sex with a sleeping person). If you know a bit about BDSM, some of this stuff may make you a bit squeamish. My own safety guidelines are quite different from this couple, so I certainly was at times. (Then again, I'm quite certain that if they could watch me they'd get squeamish as well! Such is the nature of kink.) They are consenting adults who speak to this matter clearly in their blog, "Yes, it's dangerous - get over it." Fair enough! Custom videos and t-shirts are available, and the blog is very interesting to read. A curious mixture of love, lust, and violence. Delicious and frightening. Geltsgirl is a former peep show dancer turned graphic designer and now a fetish sex blogger. And she runs a tight site: not only is there a security screen where you must confirm that you are over 18 before you get to view her page, but all her posts also exist below cuts with security warnings. This is good for protecting herself from trouble with minors, but it does make her site less convenient for reading - luckily her posts are usually worth the extra effort. Plus, if you find what she's currently talking about boring, there's an efficient system of tags where you can click to find posts on topics that you might find more interesting (pain, discipline, spanking, schoolgirls, etc). She writes about whatever she feels like talking about that day; sometimes it's about her wedding plans, sometimes it's about her fantasies of being fucked roughly in the ass, her thoughts on being a slave, or it's a recount of her most recent beating session - like I said, it all depends on what's on her mind. Aunty's review request has been in our pending basket for quite a while and I apologize for the delay in reviewing her blog. She is a significant spanking fan and for the past couple of years has had a blog to promote her fetish. She puts spotlights on both top and bottom, and on all gender mixes.
