Erika Lust is the founder of the adult audiovisual production company Lust Films. In addition to this, she is a Feminist and self proclaimed "sex culture expert." Her blog is extremely entertaining, and often quite funny (although she can come across as a man basher to some). This is Asia Carrera's private site for talking about porn, the industry, her career, her life. Online since 1996, I recently revisited and was sooo happy to see that it's going as strong as ever - although now she's talking about being a new mommy in her journal, instead of her latest porn shoot. Of course one of the things I have always loved about Asia Carrera is how she's not afraid of being multidimensional, and doesn't need to keep her porn persona 24/7. I'm in love! Tatiana von Tauber is an intelligent sex positive feminist with a great spiritual and international depth that shines through her writing and art work. She is so multitalented! There is a beautiful array of watercolors, oils, pastels, and charcoal work on the site (some of which has sort of an art deco feel to me, while other pieces have a much more impressionistic style). A neat selection of photographs (that unfortunately don't enlarge) really took my breath away. She has a great instinct for how to use light/shadow to accentuate form. It is not often that I am caught off guard by the disclaimer section of a web page. My first introduction to Tara was on the splash screen, and it did just that! The agreements are phrased in the positive, not the negative, and set the tone for what is to follow. This e-zine is divided into (admittedly annoyingly alliteratively addressed) sections, including a blog of Tara’s current thoughts and activities, advice to writers and readers, and many, many links to other web sites to purchase related materials. It is advertising heavy in that sense, but somehow it all seems to work together. There are a few photos, a little bit of her writing, and a lot of Tara’s opinions about life, freedom, and expression. The whole is liberally sprinkled with quotations from Anais Nin, Susie Bright, and other masters in the field of erotica. This reads like a magazine, a sampler of what is available. It is well written and well put together all around, and very enjoyable.

I loved this site! Jo Weldon has been a burlesque dancer for a couple of decades, and this personal site is obviously a labor of love to share that passion with burlesque fans. One of the best things about this site is that it's so obvious this is fun for her and for the other performers she talks about and has photos of. And photos are plentiful here, as Jo shares snapshots of all sorts of different shows, with some of the biggest names around (Dita Von Teese, Catherine D'Lish, Gun Street Girls, and on and on). What a beautiful and serene vision April has created here. She is the artist who has taken on the concept of yoni as inspiration. The word Yoni comes from Sanskrit. The Yoni is the symbolic center a religion that focuses on women and the Goddess,a religion which incorporates and celebrates sexuality, and recently as a term for female genitalia. There is no pornography of any sort on this well done labor of love. April does sculpture, digital art, and written word all showing respect to the idea of yoni.
