I don't know to what exotic place you have to travel in order to wear Bad Kitty Exotic Wear, but I want to go there. OH WAIT. The site says these items are meant for clubbing, pole dancing and stripping. Ok. I can see that. Browse through rompers, dresses, tops, mini-skirts, micro-mini-skirts and skirts so extraordinarily mini you'd have a hard time telling them apart from panties. There's also a small selections of accessories such as leg warmers. Most items are "one size;" apparently this means that they'll fit sizes 0-10. Flat-rate standard shipping within the USA is $9.99. Anywhere else you'll pay $24.99. The returns policy is quite restrictive as you'd expect for such intimate items but this is spelled out clearly on the site. --aag

Too many lingerie sites use a cookie-cutter format and sell the same lame goods, yawn. Not SecretMoments.com. This California-based company shows some amazingly gorgeous items, including outfits made primarily from rhinestones, sexy bridal items and unique and lovely chemises. I spent way more time here than I should have because the lingerie is truly gorgeous. All items can be viewed in a very large size, which is great when you're trying to check out all the details on an item -- or the model wearing it. My only complaint about the site is that they don't seem to stock plus-size items. XL was the largest size I found. Free shipping is provided for orders over $75; returns are accepted on unworn items. Check out all the policy details on the site. --aag

I was actually impressed with Pink Minx Lingerie (and that's no small feat); after looking over their landing page I thought this was going to be some tiny site with a little specialty or niche stock - I was not prepared for how much selection they actually have. They carry huge burlesque fans, multiple styles and sizes of corset (even corsets for men), fancy socks, costumes, dresses, classic lingerie, shoes/boots, and the list goes on! Pink Minx is a UK based shop so all their prices are listed in pounds, but they do accept multiple forms of payment (including paypal). Returns are accepted up 7 days after dispatch but they will not cover shipping costs on returns or accept wrong-size returns; so make sure you ask them for help if you're not sure before you buy. - Shay

Franzisi.com, based in Germany, offers gorgeous retro designs in girdles, bras and long dresses. Many items are open at the crotch or nipple; these are especially nice to look at even if you aren't currently in the market. I am in serious lust after one of their amazing corset dresses. I have no idea where I'd wear it (the supermarket, perhaps?) but I need one, badly. The site can be read in German or English, but some of the English translations are a bit sketchy. I was confounded by the returns policy, which is extensive but seems to suffer from the effects of translation. Read carefully before placing an order. Payment via credit card or PayPal. --aag

So the first thing I noticed about this site was the sizing chart; 6-8 was a small, and X-Large was a woman's dress size 16. Brilliant! Real sizing for real people, finally. They have a fairly large variety of outfits from bra and panties sets to nighties and negligees, and of course stockings to complete the outfit. Shipping is pretty reasonable, and checkout is secure. You can even use pay pal. All prices are in pounds, not dollars, so exact pricing may depend on the current exchange rate. Should you be unhappy with your purchase, you can return or exchange unused items within seven days. My one beef with this site is that it's kind of hard to chose what size you want - the add to cart button adds a default size, and then you have to delete it and go back to change it if it's not the size you want. Second Sexe is a French language site (thankfully Jane does have a reviewer who speaks French) aimed mainly at women. The site is divided into four sections: La Médiathèque (media library), Le Magasin (store), Le Magazine (magazine), and Le Clube (club). The site really does have a little bit of everything. The media section has a range of french porn for sale as well as audio books (check out the sexy audio sample, it's very well done), and something that they're calling "Sextos" which are sexy text messages and you can order to have sent to your cell phone. The "store" section of the site sells some really cute lingerie as well as the standards (dildos, vibes, lube, bondage gear, books, DVDs). They have a 7 day return policy for unopened/unused merchandise only. The magazine section of the site is full of interesting articles (all in French, of course) on a variety of topics, including an advice column. In the club section, users can register to participate in the site's forums, ask their sexpert questions, and generally personalize their experience on the site (mark favourites, create a wishlist). All in all, Second Sexe is a good looking site and seems to be a great resource for French Speakers. - Shay

Hm, I expected a site with a name like MyCyberErotica.com to feature sexy stories. It doesn't. Instead, it offers such items as lingerie, shoes and naughty accessories. Unfortunately, pictures of MyCyberErotica.com's wares are tiny. I'd have a hard time justifying the purchase of a $20 teddy based on the details I could see in these pictures. MyCyberErotica.com features a selection of quite pricey costumes and "courture" items. Sorry guys, you're going to have a hard time asking $200+ for an item in a misspelled category illustrated by a picture that's less than 2" wide. The site apparently charges a "restocking" fee of 25% whenever they feel like it. Additionally, the customer pays shipping on returned items. Hundreds if not thousands of sites sell lingerie and shoes. Choose one with better pictures and more reasonable returns policies than what you'll find at MyCyberErotica.com. --aag

Piper's is a site for real people. Women who have a hard time finding hose or lingerie or other intimate wear that actually fits their bodies. Skinny size 2's will always be able to find clothing. Women of size can't say that - or couldn't previously. Piper started her site after becoming frustrated in finding hose that fit. She has detailed shipping and return policies. She has a realistic sizing chart. Most important - in my opinion - is that she has plus sized models wearing the items. Many of the images were supplied by the manufacturers, she tells us, but they are building their own photo collection as well. In addition, they have a monthly contest for submitted photos of their customers, and again have detailed submission requirements. Leather, vinyl, fetishwear, satin, silk, garter belts, accessories - it's a nice collection from nice folks. Shopping is via secure cart. Recommended! - Peter

They offer couture corsets, lingerie, costumes, clubwear, hosiery, and rhinestone lingerie for women up to size 6X. There are easy to read size charts too, so that you can get the right fit. They offer men's items such as shirts, robes, costumes, pj's and more up to size X-Large. In addition to the lingerie they offer bed and bath items, sexy accessories (masks, gloves, wigs, and such), and fabric care products. I was extremely impressed with the level of customer service and contact info available, and I also liked the essay called "Guy's Guide to Lingerie". You might expect an online store with the word "thongs" so prominent in its name to be focused on, well, thongs. But ThongsAndMoreOnline.com has a heck of a lot more, including all sorts of luxury lingerie from 'round the world, sexy drawers for men, and a smattering of high-end vibrators. I was fascinated (and somewhat terrified) of their collection of c-strings, which are thongs without their annoying side strings. Imagine that! (just how do they stay on? hrm) They also carry the classic pearl thong--for men. Along with these amazing items, they have a quite thorough collection of swim wear, beaded thongs and corsets. Return of unworn intimate items are accepted within 20 days of receipt with authorization; there is a 15% fee for this service. MandysOnline.com carries a large but largely uninspired collection of lingerie, panties, corsets, robes and hosiery. The only items I found that struck me as even slightly off the beaten path were a handful of offerings made from strands of rhinestones. Mandy's carries a reasonable selection of plus-sized items, but site navigation makes it difficult to identify which items are available in any given size. You can return an unworn item in its original packaging within 30 days; Mandy's will replace the item but will not refund your shipping. I was disappointed that I could not find a phone number on the site. Email and a PO Box for snail mail are your only options for contacting them. - AAG

Well, the site's name is nice. Thongs & Things carries a large selection of sexy attire for both men and women, along with belts, jewelry, handbags, shoes and sunglasses. I'm slightly puzzled by the variety here, but hey, one never knows when one might need a thong and a belt on the same day, right? I'm always happy to see sites that show their plus-size items on actual plus-size women; Thongs & Things does an admirable job in this regard. However, that's where the goodness and light ends. The site does not list a returns policy. They offer no information about the discretion of their packaging. And they only ship to the 48 contiguous states. These items may dissuade some shoppers, and I can't give the nod to a site that isn't clear about returns. - AAG

I love plus-size sections that show products on actual plus-size models; Madame Leather does a great job with this. The site has an extensive leather care guide and a long shopping advice section, which focuses on how to choose the sort of product that will look best on you. If you end up with a defective product or one that doesn't fit, Madame Leather accepts returns within 30 days of your original purchase, as long as your item has not been worn. G Boutique began as a Chicago sex shop with a focus on creating romance for couples. They've recently taken their wares to the 'net. On their website you can schedule a class or party at their store; they'll even provide lessons in blow jobs or striptease. I'm impressed with G Boutique because they stock a really nice line of cute and functional maternity/nursing items, such as sweet little camis that unhook for breastfeeding. G Boutique also carries a small selection of sex toys, a few men's items, costumes, romance kits and corsets. They stock an excellent selection of safer-sex products, including hard-to-find items like dental dams and female condoms. I'd like to be able to give this site a quality rating, but some of their photographs are poorly lit or resized to the extent that you cannot easily view the product. Le V Lingerie & Swimwear is a one-woman operation which aims to bring unique intimate items to folks who might be leery about looking for a black mesh teddy at the local mall. On this site you'll find a small but varied collection of lingerie, sexy leather goods, men's items and swim wear. There are several options for mixing and matching swim wear, which would be convenient for someone whose body doesn't conform to standard department store sizes. Le V also caries an interesting selection of plus-size lingerie. But my favorite part of Le V was their amazing selection of chain-mail lingerie. Chain mail! With rhinestones! It was awesome! I never knew that I needed a chain mail teddy before, but now I really want one! The site is pervasively pink and has a side-scrolling screen which was not the most convenient thing for me. But those are small prices to pay for the chance to dream about cavorting around in a chain mail teddy. As you'd expect from any site that carries intimate apparel, Le V Lingerie & Swimwear has a quite restrictive returns policy. Read it carefully before you order. - AAG

AllSexyClothes.com is a Texas-based online retailer dealing in the types of clothes you might wear if you were trying to impress your date--but *not* if you were trying to impress your date's mom. They carry all manner of naughty stuff, from bikinis, teddies, corsets, panties, and what they call "club-wear," which just might get you thrown out of any typical club...or asked to perform on-stage. The selection is fabulous, the contact information is complete, the returns policy is restrictive (as you'd expect for products of this nature) but clearly spelled out and the images--where they work--are large and easy to see. However, many of the larger images won't load for me either in my beloved Firefox or in IE. Some categories do not have any products in them at all. It's impossible to find items designed for specific sizes without clicking on each picture. And the promised size charts are completely blank. Looks like AllSexyClothes.com needs to have a quick chat with their webmaster, because if those problems were fixed up, the site would be great. - AAG

So the other day I was searching around online for something suitable to wear to an all-adult slumber party (don't ask). I found all kinds of sites that had sexy outfits you could wear if you were a size 6, but not so much for that would look good on someone who's not a size 6 (ie, me). The t-shirts are sorted by level of naughtiness into sex kitten, sex vixen, and XXX. There is snail mail, email, telephone, and blog/myspace info available. Sale is through Paypal, so I'm unsure of how reliable that will be (since Paypal is notorious about how it deals with adult merchandise). I don't see any info on returns, privacy, or shipping. But after reading The Lingerie Post, I have a sudden craving for nipple covers. And a bra which converts into a shopping bag. How have I lived 38 years (many of them *with breasts*) and not known about bras that turn into shopping bags? I'm stunned by all the possibilities laid out before my eyes on The Lingerie Post. With a team of underwear specialists from around the globe, this blog reports daily (or more) on trends, hot new items, and bargains to be had in the lingerie world. They hold quarterly contests and occasionally interview folks in the lingerie/fashion biz. I ask you, would you be willing to pay $52 for a women's swimsuit that consists of approximately 6 square inches of fabric and a whole bunch of strings? Well then, would you at least like to *look* at a pretty girl wearing such a swimsuit? If you answered yes to either of these questions, then Flirt Catalog would be a great place to look. An online retailer specializing in what I can euphemistically describe as club-wear, Flirt has an large selection of very small clothes. Literally. The largest size I could find in their regular section was a size 10; most items are only available in junior sizes 9 and under. There's a fairly extensive plus-size section where the products are modeled on actual plus-size women! Cool. There's also a small selection of men's items, and I'm disappointed to report that the men show far less skin than do the women. Flirt provides ample ways to contact them if there's a problem with your order, and they even allow 30 days for you to return an unworn item. - AAG
