This great little publisher offers original erotic ebooks and books in print. They cover a wide variety of genres including alternate history, GLBT, Westerns, Science Fiction, and Mainstream romance. You can browse the books by genre or author, and most of the ebooks run between $1.99 - $6.99. The site has a content rating system that runs from sensual mainstream romance to dark and sadistic, so you can quickly find books at your own comfort level. Books are also rated by length, with the smallest coming in under 80 pages to the largest at over 400. The customer service and contact info is good, and includes a physical address for the business (but no phone number). You are able to download your purchase right after the transaction in many formats including Mobipocket, Hiebook, Microsoft Ebook, html, Gemstar, Adobe Reader, and Palm. One of the coolest things about this publisher is that they have a "Mojocastle Bookshelf" feature that is a virtual library space for your ebooks. Once you buy from them, your books are always available to you 24/7 in multiple formats for up to 30 years after purchase date. Neat! This is pretty cool: have a favorite porn star from days of old? Do you miss the days of 80's porn, blue eyeshadow and big hair? Or maybe you're looking for something from the 60's, with bouffant hairdos and truly nylon nylons. This webstore has magazines from the 60s through the 90s. You can browse via a particular star you're looking for, or by magazine title or era. Or, use the handy search feature if you're looking for something in particular. Not being a collector myself, I have a hard time knowing how their selection is of hard-to-find goodies, but they do have a large inventory it seems. They also have their email listed so you can request something they don't have, or ask for more info or scans on something you're unsure of. The only thing that gave me pause was the lack of any contact info other than email. If you do decide to buy, you fill out a form with your email and are then contacted with a total including shipping, if the item is still in stock. London based Filament Magazine promises hot pictures and smart articles geared toward women. They aim to show images of men made expressly for the female gaze; this counteracts the almost inescapable number of male-centric girlie pictures we see every day in other media. Also, you'll find no diet advice, fashion information or celebrity gossip here. You can preview a PDF of several articles and images before ordering issues. Magazine staff maintains a blog called "The Female Gaze." It's hosted on LiveJournal, which quite frankly baffles me. Why would they put themselves at the mercy of LJ's infrastructure and policies (such as the annoying "adult content" warning) when they're already paying for their own hosting? Things would feel more cohesive and professional if the blog content were incorporated into the main site. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the site enough that I wanted to get my hands on a hard copy of Filament. Prices are listed in Great British pounds; worldwide shipping is available. Vintage Erotic Pictures is a site where fans of vintage erotic "post cards" can go to purchase high quality digital copies of said erotic art. So far they haven't set it up so that you can buy single images, instead you must purchase "volumes" of about 25 pictures - for $10. The pictures themselves are quite lovely and beautifully restored. Overall the site has a good concept and a good product, but the website itself is still a little clunky and could use some updating. I also can't help thinking that they should also be offering framed prints of images for sale as well, rather than exclusively digital copies. Still, if you're a fan of vintage porn, you'll def want to check this site out, whether you decide to buy the volumes or not. - Shay

Speaking as someone who thoroughly enjoyed porn through the 70's, mustaches & black socks and all, this site is a pleasant walk down memory lane. The content is constantly changing depending on inventory - men's and sexual magazines from the golden days of porn, for sale, along with a handful of DVDs. Condition varies and they offer the categories of coondition fairly clearly. Price is all in Euro's as is shipping, and they ship to Europe or North America. They have many galleries which in turn link to retro pay sites where you can download the entire gallery or video that they highlight. Second Sexe is a French language site (thankfully Jane does have a reviewer who speaks French) aimed mainly at women. The site is divided into four sections: La Médiathèque (media library), Le Magasin (store), Le Magazine (magazine), and Le Clube (club). The site really does have a little bit of everything. The media section has a range of french porn for sale as well as audio books (check out the sexy audio sample, it's very well done), and something that they're calling "Sextos" which are sexy text messages and you can order to have sent to your cell phone. The "store" section of the site sells some really cute lingerie as well as the standards (dildos, vibes, lube, bondage gear, books, DVDs). They have a 7 day return policy for unopened/unused merchandise only. The magazine section of the site is full of interesting articles (all in French, of course) on a variety of topics, including an advice column. In the club section, users can register to participate in the site's forums, ask their sexpert questions, and generally personalize their experience on the site (mark favourites, create a wishlist). All in all, Second Sexe is a good looking site and seems to be a great resource for French Speakers. - Shay

If you were the editor of an upcoming collection of stories about the swinging scene, you might be tempted to do exactly what editor Jolie du Pre has done: create a series of blogs and social media outlets with which to promote your work. This is fine. Authors and editors create promotional sites all the time. The most successful attempts feature a great deal of original content, as well as some accessory information gathered from across the far reaches of the web. Unfortunately, SwingAnthology.com is not a great example of a promotional site. There's too much random junk pulled off the 'net, too much advertising, and not enough original content which focuses on the goal at hand: to get people interested in buying the book. Jolie du Pre, if you want to generate excitement about the anthology, you're going to have to write more and cut way back on the advertising. --aag

Are you a man who feels a little below par when it comes to your lovemaking skillz? If so, you might want to check out FemaleOrgasmBlackBook.com, which offers (for a fee) to deliver straight to your inbox a 100+ page PDF ebook on the topic. Or perhaps you should instead go to the library or hit the bookstore for that information, because frankly, this ebook is just not worth it. While it provides a lot of information, too much of it is antiquated, poorly presented or downright offensive. For example, the author provides several sex scenarios in the form of detailed lists, suggesting it seems that the male partner take full responsibility for the pace and tone of the experience. Later, he suggests praising the female partner during urination as a means of reassuring her about female ejaculation. I'm not quite sure what to make of this, but it's not anything positive. If you choose to order the book, you'll need to wade through several pages of additional offers, all screamed out in huge flashing letters. These additional offers, as you might expect, increase the cost of the ebook by a cool twenty dollars. --aag

This is not an all adult site, however the erotic fiction is the busiest part of the site, and is worth a mention. I'm all about free fiction, and that's what is offered here for the reading. On the date of review they claim close to 1400 stories, of all genre. It's easy enough to find a button for "erotic stories" or "adult theme" in their genre listings. The stories tend to be a little milder than some of what you might find at ASSTR, because they have chosen to screen out stories about illegal sexual activities [underage, violent, etc]. After a short scan around and reading a little I went ahead and bookmarked it for my own reading. You don't have to register, and registration is free and without any credit card dance or such, but with registration you can submit stories and be notified of updates. They also have a link to a bookstore to purchase from their authors, in partnership with Amazon. This is the personal website of author Jenny Ainslie-Turner. She has written "How to Talk Dirty: A Hands on Guide to Phone Sex" and "Jolene's Erotic Fantasies". She offers both books for sale on her website, and shares several excerpts from the Phone Sex book. There are also a handful of magazine interviews that talk a bit about her, her books, and phone sex. In addition to this, she offers pre-recorded readings of her stories and ...you guessed it ...phone sex! Her phone service appears to be UK only, and there are different rates for landlines and mobile phones. Rates are listed in pound sterling. D.J. Manly specializes in gay male erotic fiction. This site lists his many books in terms of category (paranormal, contemporary, futuristic/fantasy, or anthology). He provides excerpts of many of the books, and often posts a small review by one of his readers. He doesn't sell any of the books himself, but he does point to the various publishers that carry them. I found his "Amusing Amanda" series of particular interest, as it is written about a woman who likes to watch men make love. Her work is sold through different sites, so you have to evaluate each store separately when purchasing. This site also links to her blog, facebook, myspace, and yahoo group. Think that romantic spanking stories would all start sounding alike after awhile? Be sure to check out her current project, it is a paranormal romance that involves a werewolf that gives spankings. Ann Jacobs is an award winning author of erotic romance novels that cover contemporary, BDSM, futuristic, paranormal, historical, and comedy genres. She believes that an erotic romance is, "...[T]he perfect combination of sex, sensuality, deep emotional involvement and lifelong commitment." This website lists all of her novels and gives a brief description and excerpt from each of them. There are also a couple of free stories and links to her blog and yahoo group. I always love reading about authors, and she has a nice bio section and a lot of pictures. It seems that she really enjoys her fans, so there are lots of fun things like contests and free bookmarks. I noticed that she has a lot of futuristic science fiction BDSM stories, cowboys, harems, and medieval content. So, if any of those trip your trigger, you should definitely take a look here. Lauren is a self-described suburban housewife and mom who got her start writing while on bedrest during a pregnancy. She has proven to be a prolific author over what is actually a very short time, offering several different series of novels via ebook or in paper. I saw two different paranormal werewolf series of books, a paranormal witch series, a contemporary romance series as well as a collection of stand-alone novels with a variety of themes. Many of those, but not all, have a paranormal theme. I was tickled to see that she also lives in the Seattle area - we do like our smut, we do we do. Bizarre Magazine, based out of the UK, is one of the worlds largest alternative culture magazines. The web site features everything from weird news stories, interviews with alternative porn producers and stars and movie and game reviews, to photos of tattoos and body mods. Each week a new article is featured on a specific fetish; some of the past fetishes they've covered include kidnap fantasies, flogging, latex, and erotic hypnosis. There is also a column featuring advice from fetish model Bianco Beauchamp. For those of you interested in something more visual, you certainly won't be disappointed. Bizarre has a huge amount of photo and video content, including user submitted photos and links to photo galleries of the Bizarre cover girls. The site wasn't quite as Bizarre as I was expecting, especially in comparison to a site like BMEzine, but it was still very entertaining. Best of all - the website is free! The site is fairly ad heavy, which is to be expected from this kind of site, but I didn't find it distracted from my enjoyment of the material at all. To get the full meal deal, surfers have the option of purchasing a one or two year subscription to the print version of the magazine. This certainly is an interesting concept. For a price, you can order one (or more!) of eight possible scripts ranging from "Teacher's Pet" to "High-Class Escort," with many more scripts being developed even as we speak. Before you choose a script, you can read descriptions of the scenario and get an idea of the kinds of action required. The webmasters of SexSkits.net were kind enough to send me a copy of one of their scripts. I found it to be a fun read, and definitely suitable for couples who want to explore but lack the confidence or creativity to develop such a script on their own. Particularly impressive were the preparation materials, which include information on getting into character, props, lighting and even suggestions for what to do after the scene ends. Red light books is a tidy and easy to navigate site. There is a top menu directing shoppers to the home page, features, and special offers. A sidebar menu displays the different book categories: erotic fiction, sex techniques, dating/relationships, Kama Sutra and Tantra, as well as unreleased books and gift sets. Upon clicking a book, the shopper is shown the price and a synopsis, as well as another great feature; you can select to see other books sold on the site by this author and in many cases you can also read a quick biography of the author. The site also boasts a "look inside" feature which is excellent, it allows you to view 5 scans from one section on the book to judge for yourself whether the author's writing style is going to work for you. So far only two books have this feature, but I'm hoping that they will set this up for more eventually. Redlight Books seems to have great selection and features for the erotic fiction connoisseur as well as for those looking for other kinds of adult books. - Shay

This is a wonderful introduction to the world of Sylvia Day (an award winning author that has written over a dozen novels). She introduces herself a bit in her bio section, and also makes herself available through her blog and online chat. It appears that she enjoys writing about the sensual rather than the outright graphic, so most of her work would fall in the romantic and sensual fiction genre.
