Holly Randall is the latest photographer to join the MetArt network with a body of work. The daughter of legendary adult photographer Suze Randall, Suze.net is where Holly Randall got her start while a student at Brooks Institute of Photography. She started shooting for Suze.net in 2005, and has already compiled a huge body of work, with her photography appearing on the covers of major men's magazines and websites alike. Her own website launched in 2008, but recently moved to the MetArt network. Like everything in MetArt, the preview is transparent which is a really wonderful feature. You can see exactly how much content is uploaded each month: typically there are between 8-12 updates, some of which are photo galleries, some video clips. Hover over a thumbnail and you'll get a little pop-up with a runtime or photo count, date it was added, model name, and if there is one, a user-rating from the sites readers. You can browse through the preview also by model - each model links to all of the shoots she's in currently. The members content is laid out perfectly. Each gallery has several options, from downloading zip files to browsing thumbnail galleries to streaming a slideshow in one of 3 different sizes, depending on what looks good on your monitor. You can add photoshoots and galleries to a favorites page that will last as long as your membership does, if you want to remember one to browse later. There is also an options tab where you can delineate such things as slideshow speed, how many search results to return, whether to show tags, and so on. Most of the movies are between 7-10 minutes long, and are mobile enabled. You can stream them in the browser in either standard or high def, or download in one of many formats offered: DivX AVI, WMV, mobile, SD or HD. Most of the content is solo girl, masturbation and some insertion. There are also the occasional girl/girl or girl/boy shoots - check out the preview to get an idea, since it is transparent and it'll give you a good idea whether it'll be your cup of tea or not. Zishy.com got me right out of the gate, after 17 years of reviewing online porn. How? By not overwhelming with a barrage of the nastiest talk and most hardcore pictures they could find. Zishy is, in their own words, "Edgy, non-nude photos of beautiful young women." Based out of L.A., Zishy's photographer is Zach Venice - he is also the site coder/designer. That is some really generous preview content, as there are dozens of shoots on the preview. The ways they avoid full nudity run the gamut from cliche (hands covering the swimsuit bits) to silly (a photo stuck to a mirror) to creative (the tiniest bit of strands of hair very carefully place over a nipple.) People write me all the time asking for sites that are tasteful, yet still provocative, and I think Zishy is exactly what they have in mind. Preview is transparent, with all galleries listed with photo counts and samples. You can view by most recent, or by model - there are about 100 models already here, on this newly-launched site. Super cute and fun feeling, and a great deal on cost. Inside, you'll find that each set can also be downloaded as a zip file for the collectors, and each gallery links to other shoots with that model, for easy browsing. Well-done, with updates 3-4 times per week.

CosplayErotica is, as the title would imply, a cosplay site that includes nudity - nothing too explicit, softcore posing mostly of solo girls, and the occasional girl/girl shoot. You can browse by model (there are currently two dozen models on the site) or you can browse by latest update, or type of cosplay (i.e. anime/comic characters, movie characters, game characters.) One of the coolest things about the site is definitely their openness to fulfilling member requests, although you do need to be a member for at least two months before requesting a shoot. In the calendar section, you can check on the status of requests they are fulfilling, from the planning stage, to creating the costume, to shooting, to uploading. They have quite the backlog of requests in various stages of fulfillment, but I imagine it's no easy thing completing requests that are sure to be fairly specific. The galleries are available to browse online, or to download in zip files. A typical shoot starts off fully clothed, then striptease and posing. The photos are obviously enhanced with editing software, to add background elements and sometimes a comic-book shine to the models themselves. Most galleries also include video files, which you can watch in your browser or download. The higher resolution is WMV format, the lower is MP4, without DRM protection. The runtimes are short and are basically videos of the photoshoots themselves, so you'll see what's going on before the photos are enhanced. They also run a webcam during photoshoots, although I didn't see a schedule so it's hit or miss on watching one, however, they did have archives of webcam sessions. At the time I visited, there were 176 photo updates (looks to be updated 2-3 times per week), most with video.

The movies include hardcore and softcore situations, with a lot of them focusing on masturbation. The women are not always sweet enchantresses to be ravished either, as there are some hardcore warriors and manipulative magic users definitely taking control of hapless victims over at this site. The art section has almost a dozen small galleries of erotic art from the 1800s thru the early 1900s. The site owner has also written around 7 original articles on early pornography. One of the incredibly unique sections of the website is an archive of old sound files. There are around 18 mp3s, most of which come from 1960-70's sexual education records and 8 tracks. I don't know whether I'd call those sexy, but they were highly amusing (especially a couple of the files that featured, "[A] supremely disinterested and possibly drunk Brooklyn narrator." Other odds and ends can be found on the site, like a suggested reading list and word origin information on many erotic words. I thoroughly enjoyed this place, and was sometimes shocked by how absolutely depraved early erotica could be (and I mean that in the best of ways). PlayboyPlus is the newly re-vamped pay side of the Playboy website. I can't say the preview is all that exciting. I'm a big fan of the transparent preview that shows all the updates in a timeline - but hey, this is Playboy and the content is vast. The preview does show the latest updates, along with a short streaming video clip. You can also navigate the regular Playboy site from the navigation, if you're "just going to the site for the articles." (Sorry, couldn't resist.) Once inside, the content is laid out with latest content on the splash page, and sidebar navigation that includes most popular videos, pictorials, and models. It also shows what is being viewed at the time by other users that are online. One feature that I found kind of fun was being able to browse Playmate of the Month and Playmate of the Year, because the archive goes back to 1954. Seeing the differences in posing and hairstyles from one generation to the next is interesting (the 50's: does everyone suck their stomach in for every photo? So very Bettie Page.) Of course there are also current day celebrities nude, like Kim Kardashian, Jenny McCarthy, and the post-surgery Heidi Montag. There are others you might expect to see, like the famous Lindsay Lohan "Marilyn" photoshoot, that are not yet on the website though. When I did a search for that, I found a single photo from the shoot, along with bio info. Of course celebrity shoots are hardly the only reason to visit Playboy. They also are showcasing Playboyesque amateurs, and in a different category, Cybergirls. In trying to distinguish what differentiated a cybergirl from an amateur, all I could come up with is possibly tattoos, breast enhancement, or other body mod? It appeared as though Cybergirls had them, amateurs did not. Other categories were co-eds (young?) and International. Pictorials could be viewed in a slideshow, or downloaded via zip file. Videos seemed to be mostly filmed during photoshoots, although there were some softcore posing videos that were set too well to music to be photoshoot content. Most videos run around 5-10 minutes, are streamed via Flash plugin, and could be downloaded in variety mp4 resolutions, all the way up to HD1080. Thankfully there is a search feature, which will be handy if you're looking for a particular model. With 100,000+ photos and thousands of models, it's a necessary feature. Members can rate content, but I didn't see any way to favorite things for later viewing, which surprised me in a site of this scale. Other tidbits rounding out the content included a bonus feeds section, with downloadable clips from more hardcore dvd titles, and a live model chat feature that had 5 women online when I visited. The PlayboyTV section is another separate membership, as is the DVD section, which linked off to partnership website Moviebox.com and streams movie content for membership fees. In all, PlayboyPlus is totally worth the subscription fees if you're a fan of Playboy's style of pictorial. If you truly do love Playboy for the articles, however, you won't find them archived here.

In other words, don't join if you want video content, the bulk of everything is the high quality photography. Photo sets are mostly studio, but some outdoor series. Nude, lingerie, lots of pink, but nothing more explicit such as penetration. Photo sets are offered in 3 different resolutions, as downloads or in slideshow formats. Once you've joined, you have the ability to add sets to your favorites for later viewing, and you can also easily check out recently viewed sets. FTV is a bit of a legend. They specialize in showing young women in solo and lesbian situations that exude a sort of natural enthusiasm and beauty. The content ranges from softcore posing in revealing clothing to fisting, lactation, toys, extreme closeups, public nudity, and panty stuffing. There are over 156,000 original pics here, all of which are high resolution and may be downloaded as a set in a zip file. There are also enough videos that I honestly lost count (they claim over 1,000,000 Mb of video in the preview and that seems accurate). The movies are downloadable in wmv, HD wmv, and DivX. They are fairly large files, and took awhile to download on my older system. One of the many things I really loved about the movies? Aside from the quality and the tone of the filming, I also appreciated that each one had comments by the performer(s) and the videographer/photographer. I liked the bit of insight into the personalities involved, and details about the scenes that I was watching. FTV also had a bunch of bonus material from other sites it is affiliated with, which was a neat little treat. There are some ads in the member area, although I wasn't confused by them or irritated. The preview for the site is quite good, so you'll have a great idea of what you will get as a member. My only caveat? During the sign up process they pre-check a box that signs you up for a secondary site (membership in Danielle FTV $6.95/7 days recurring @ $19.95). I don't feel this is exactly sneaky, as there is a big bright banner calling attention to it. Still, it is something to be mindful of (and I'd feel better if the box wasn't checked). This new site is all about filming and photographing amateurs in very candid and unscripted ways. Most of the content is pretty softcore, but there are occasional hardcore and masturbation scenes. I found 8 movies at the moment, all of which are between 10-40 minutes. You can stream them as flash movies, or download them in several formats (ipod, HD Mpeg-4, SD mpeg-4, wmv). The audio was a bit strange on this site, as the sound would suddenly cut off on some of the movies. That didn't seem to be a problem on my side, and I assume it is a bug that they will fix soon. Jen & Dave are near and dear to my heart, just because they've been around even longer than JanesGuide. Somewhere, I have a picture of Jen sitting on my lap at a convention, circa 1999. I first started seeing work from this London photographer show up on Tumblr, where it was very popular and uncredited. Imagine my delight when I sorted out who was behind the images!
