This is a blog by Master Michael Samadhi and his slave/wife Serafina. It is still relatively young, but I felt that the level of conversation and original pictures really warranted a review. The couple enjoys Tantra and BDSM, and they definitely communicate about their lives in a very real (and sometimes quite raw and vulnerable) way. They have BDSM and kink articles about things like Darlex and Hepatitis. Michael shares assignments that he has written for his partner. The review section is a breath of fresh air, since it deals with things like collars and EMT scissors. I didn't see any standard "sex toy" reviews, but loved reading over scene music recommendations and experiences with hemp rope suppliers. Here is a sample of the sort of thing you'll read from Michael: "If a slave is somebody who has been totally devalued, I'd not want to command them, I'd want to shelter and protect them until they felt valued and human. My style of domination isn't depersonalizing, in fact quite the opposite, it's expressed by continually pushing for growth, empowerment, and enlightenment within the rituals and devotions of submission." Skin Two started out in a cellar in Soho, London in 1983. It has grown through the years to become a legend of fetish fashion and style, and the organizer of one of the most famous fetish events in the world the "Skin Two Rubber Ball Weekend". This site is the online version of their magazine, and offers lots of free (fiction and nonfiction) writing as well as tons of art. There is also a forum that allows you to network with other readers and discuss things like clubs and BDSM. Some famous bloggers such as Patrick Califia can also be found here. The fact that we haven't posted this review sooner is a testament to the size of the Jane's Guide queue. Sarah Sloane is one of the east coast's top BDSM, Sexuality, and Relationship educators. She has taught hundreds of classes, writes a "Dear Sarah" column, blogs for MyPleasure, is featured in SexIs Magazine, and is the Contributing Editor for Tristan Taormino's newsletter The Double T. This site is primarily a personal blog, but it also lists the classes that she currently teaches (along with a description of what to expect from each of them). There are also links to media interviews, podcasts, and some of her free online writing such as "10 Things You Didn't Know About the Prostate." If you aren't already familiar with Sarah, this is a great crash course. I think you'll particularly appreciate her materials if you are interested in polyamory and BDSM. - Vamp

The human mind is a rich and imaginative instrument, and it always warms me to see it used to explore sexuality and sensuality. This blog definitely does that through a mixture of roleplay, storytelling, and experimentation. The writer is a bit of a mystery, but his character is named Adam Zadeh. Adam exists on the online game Second Life, where he is part of a Gorean roleplay experience. For those unfamiliar with the alternative science fiction/erotica world of Gor, it was the creation of an author named John Norman back in the late 60's. The books dealt with a certain life philosophy, and part of that involved male dominance and female submission. Adam writes about his experiences in the online Gor, and also discusses what it means to him to engage in the Gorean lifestyle in his flesh life. He has been keeping this journal since 2008, and he includes illustrations of his character in the game. I think you will enjoy this journal if you would love to get a look at a very intricate emotional and mental exploration of a fantasy, and the goal of making it more of a reality. It is always nice to read honest reviews written by someone who is jazzed about a certain genre of writing. This place certainly fits the bill! Kirsten reviews an extremely substantial amount of books dealing with BDSM, and writes very thorough and balanced reviews of the material. Although this review site is in blog format, it is still easy to navigate to the things that interest you. You can view books by rating, heat, intensity, content, or author. She also has a thorough disclosure policy, which I really appreciated. The only thing that I wish she had? I'd love to have a better description of the difference between general rating, heat, and intensity. This may be well understood by some, but I could have benefited from an explanation. All in all, I highly recommend this site to folks with an interest in BDSM erotica. I know that I became interested in several books while reading her reviews here! - Vamp

This free website is absolutely packed with articles that will appeal to serious bondage enthusiasts! There are places online that share lots of bondage basics and how-to information, and this isn't one of them. This is definitely for the advanced user who wants a place to inspire them, inform them, and show them free pictures of heavy play. An example of this is one of the latest articles titled, "A-Kidnapping We Will Go." It describes a (consensual) kidnapping and bondage roadtrip scene that involved keeping someone in a bodycage in the back of a moving van. The entire article is illustrated with pictures from the road, and it is a very fun read! There are also articles that tour bondage equipment facilities, review products, and a lot more. Another interesting feature of the website is the bondage blog, that isn't like a regular blog at all. It is essentially a place for folks to leave tips, insight, or reviews of their own experiences. This is an absolutely fascinating blog by Peter Tupper, who is currently working on a book titled "Beauty in Darkness: A history of BDSM". Each entry includes a fairly academic examination of pop culture, podcasts, essays, books, and more. Here is a sample of his tone: "While I personally have little interest in virtual BDSM, it does merit study as an aspect of the history, as an example of creating shared fantasy worlds. There's a new academic paper studying this particular sub-subculture, 'Topping from the Viewfinder: The Visual Language of Virtual BDSM Photographs in Second Life' by Shaowen Bardzell." I found myself getting lost in the many interesting links and ideas that I found at this site, and look forward to Mr. Tupper's book! - Vamp

Wow, this website has a truly staggering amount of spanking stories. Over 6,000,to be exact, and all free to read once you've registered with the site. You can search, browse by author, etc. - each story has a title and a helpful code so that you'll know what includes sexual content, which stories are male/female, male/male, etc. If you find something you like you can add it to your favorites so you can find it easily next time as well. All in all, an incredibly repository of all types of spanking literature. Stories, poems, serials, even a play - if it's about spanking, it's here. - Jane

This site just went through a major renovation and I've got to say, it looks awesome. Awesome design means little without great content but never fear, you'll find plenty of that on TheBeautifulKind.com. This kinky mom from the St. Louis area writes about her love life, offers up advice to those with sexuality questions and interviews others who are "the beautiful kind." I love the fact that TBK includes points of view from so many others in her work. If she's not personally experienced anal fisting (for example) she'll publish information from someone who has -- and if the chemistry is right, she might even try her hand at the new activity with the person who educated her. You can also ask her advice on the perennial question "Why am I not getting laid," read sex toy and book reviews, and explore "My First" narratives from TBK's readers. The Triskelion Society's mission is to share information amongst people in the BDSM, leather, kink and fetish communities. Read their wiki or join to help with editing. Check out a fairly active forum, informational articles, pictures and a chat function. I really liked the downloads page, where users can view and share rules, contracts and other BDSM information. Also check out the world map, featuring listings for various BDSM clubs and other adult venues, all linked to driving directions and reviews. There's even a cool little program which allows a master to encrypt a task for a submissive, who then must return to the site in order to decode the message. Fun! --aag

Take a moment and imagine a leather Facebook or Myspace, and then imagine it being run by and for kinky folks. That is exactly what Fetlife is! It is the coolest new community site out there for pervs, and it is absolutely 100% free. I had been hearing the buzz about this new spot on the web from a few of my lifestyle friends, and I finally decided to go set up an account and take a look myself. Many years ago I had been on other sites that promised community and allowed free communication, but since those sites have sold to other companies their soul has left the building and communication costs money. It is also communication that is no longer under the nurturing ownership of perverts with a personal interest in our tribe. I'd lost interest, and so had most of my friends. I was hoping that this site could be some of what I was missing on the old ones. Wow, I wasn't disappointed! I immediately ran into some of my old friends, and then ran off to recruit new ones. It is easy to sign up. Once you have, then you set up a profile. You can add pics to it, and you'll never run into that "you have to have such and such membership" to view pics or show them to others. There are social groups here with ongoing forum conversations, so you can sign up for topics that interest you (or create your own groups). There is a mail system that acts like a personal bulletin board for private conversations, so you don't lose track of what has been said to anyone. You can post writing, see what your friends are doing, and a lot more. A lot of talented pervs are posting writing and engaging in conversation here. I've met a lot of new friends. There is a small amount of advertising, but it is done really tastefully and never gets in the way. You can write to the folks that run the site, and they will actually write you back. I've been in love with this place and raving about it for the last several weeks. This is one of the few sites that didn't ask for review. I sought out the owner and asked him if I could post one. Oh boy, I thought when I saw this listing. VioletWand.com must be one of those sites that claims to be educational but is really just full of ads. I'm happy to say that I was very wrong this time. Here you'll find tons of information about the history and workings of the violet wand as well as safety information, buying tips and usage suggestions. And no ads! I really appreciated the historical perspective presented. However, the webmaster seems to have a bit of an axe to grind with some other folks in the violet wand scene. I'm not sure his website is the best place to air these grievances, as it seems like unnecessary drama. Right now there are a few empty pages on the site and lots of places for users to add their own experiences. Perhaps in time these will be filled with even more useful violet wand information. --aag

Next, move on to peruse her offered services, rates and requirement for her subs. Also check out links to fetish shopping sites, Mystress Lady Evyl's own sex toy store and a small but attractive gallery of personal photos. She participates in a unique form of marking called "cell popping;" check out her detailed description of the process, including fascinating photos. Some of the site is written in French, which was difficult for this non-French speaking girl to follow. An easy-to-find block quote or italicized paragraph might be a better way of handling translated text on a blog that's mostly written in English. --aag

Vamp first reviewed this site six years ago, and since then it's only gotten better. This has to be one of the coolest BDSM toy shops I've visited in awhile! Madame Giggles sells a huge assortment of floggers, stingers and her absolutely unique "Killer Bunnies." Instead of dull turn-key operations with purchased graphics and boring cookie-cutter toys, Madame Giggles creates all of her own products and images. Each toy has a precise description, including measurements and weights. The toys come with a warranty, and all customer service information is spelled out in detail. In fact, Madame Giggles manages to make you WANT to read all that info because she is funny and smart -- and it shows. Custom work is available. Shipping is currently through USPS Priority mail. Rates seem quite reasonable; spend over $100 and shipping is free. Aside from the toys, there is a personal side to this website. Madame Giggles talks a bit about herself, how to brand skin, and her thoughts on dating and relationship. It is very well worth the read. I found myself wanting to hang out with Madame Giggles after reading this. I looked at the title of this site and thought, "What would make someone fetishize Attention Deficit Disorder?" Fortunately I was incorrect; the site's title, I believe, draws attention to the fact that users can ADD their own FETISH stories. Right now a couple dozen stories are included, as well as some very nice BDSM-themed images. Users can also submit articles about BDSM topics; at the moment only five are present. All are quite short. Also find a directory of both free and paid websites which focus on BDSM. Want to participate? Submit your URL for inclusion in their directory or share articles and stories of your own. In time this might grow into a successful site, but at the moment there's just not enough here to justify much attention. --aag

FemDomale.com is a collection of information for those interested in erotic female supremacy. Included are etiquette tips, lifestyle information and a very small directory of pro-doms (along with a way to contact them). The educational material provided is basic, at best. There are much better online sources for this type of information. Also, FemDomale.com is full almost to bursting with advertising content. There are links in the header, in the sidebars and (most annoyingly) in pop-up boxes spattered through the text. The webmaster also links lavishly to products he mentions, such as high-heeled boots (understandable) and tennis shoes (er...puzzling). Consult this site if you need only the absolute basics. --aag

This is an annual award given to men and women involved in bondage porn. Categories include model, rigger, writer, free site, comic artist, and a lot more. The winners are folks who receive the most votes in their category, and the FAQ goes into how such votes are collected and dealt with. I notice that many of the first place winners in the contest this year were Vamp's Picks in the past. Congrats to House of Gord and the Luvbights! This website's main focus in on self-bondage. It uses a wiki based database to organize bondage information including safety, general toys, personal introductions of members, nature based toys, stories, and personal experiences. Membership is free, and after you become a registered user you can submit info to the site. The content is a bit on the light side right now, but I'm sure it will grow with time. On a personal note, I highly recommend that anyone considering solo bondage do extensive research beyond this site before attempting it. I once found myself in solo bondage tied to a bookcase during a power outage, and it was a very good thing that I had a nearby flashlight and some bandage scissors to get myself out of the situation. Proper safety procedures can make a potentially deadly situation into nothing more than a funny anecdote. - Vamp
