This is a blog by Master Michael Samadhi and his slave/wife Serafina. It is still relatively young, but I felt that the level of conversation and original pictures really warranted a review. The couple enjoys Tantra and BDSM, and they definitely communicate about their lives in a very real (and sometimes quite raw and vulnerable) way. They have BDSM and kink articles about things like Darlex and Hepatitis. Michael shares assignments that he has written for his partner. The review section is a breath of fresh air, since it deals with things like collars and EMT scissors. I didn't see any standard "sex toy" reviews, but loved reading over scene music recommendations and experiences with hemp rope suppliers. Respectful, loving, joyful, smart, charming, and sexy! This site is still extremely young, but I love the direction that it is going. I always think that the best porn is the stuff that I watch and then wish that I could participate in, and this site definitely struck me that way. The two stars are Maggie and Ned Mayhem, which you may have heard of before. Maggie self-identifies as a queer kinky switch that has worked with really cool folks like Two Knotty Boys and Kink.com. She has also been involved in a lot of sex positive work, such as HIV testing and counseling. Ned has worked with folks like Kink.com as well, and runs an an open source science project measuring physiological responses to arousal and orgasm. He is also a PhD candidate in experimental physics at UC Berkeley. This site is free to read and look over, and it acts as a transparent preview for the paid content. You can register here for free, and then purchase individual movies or photo sets (which typically run around $3). You can also decided to be a big spender (the better deal), and get the whole shebang for $8/month. At the moment, if you pay for all the content available there is a small handful of streaming and downloadable (mp4) movies that run about ten minutes long. There is also a picture gallery of Maggie that is available in high resolution and zipped. Mixed in with their own content, they do have blog entries about work that they are doing with other sites (most of which will allow you to purchase their particular movie or gallery separately). I wasn't totally wild about it being mixed in with their other content, but it was plainly labeled and nice to see where I could find more content with these stars if I wanted. In addition to the homemade porn showing things like strap-on sex and Ned using a vibrator on his cock while getting a handjob from Maggie, you'll also find the ultra cool Encyclopedia Mayhem. It includes tutorials on things like how to be a cis-gendered woman and pee standing up and how to construct a hitachi wand rope harness. There are also interviews, stories, behind the scenes info, event reports, and even really personal home video of vacations. I'm incredibly excited about this section of their site, because I felt that it was a bit like getting to know them. If you are looking for toy reviews that include demonstrations, then this site may do that soon. At the moment they only have one real review, but it is graphic and wonderful. There is a live show area that broadcasts using skinvideo cams, and they apparently announce live shows via twitter. There is no schedule posted. There are links to a forum (that is currently too new to have much content), and a free tumblr blog of photos and movies. Ned and Maggie say that they want to make, "...[P]orn that could get people off without perpetuating racism or homophobia – porn that shows the world that making sexy videos is not synonymous with exploitation." This blog is positively delightful, and a really interesting read! Iona and James are an adventurous, inventive, and exciting couple that blog about their relationship as a D/s couple in a poly relationship. This blog features the experiences and thoughts of a married couple that is into swinging. Unfortunately, I could barely concentrate on that due to the huge amount of ad content. The most irritating was a fake media player that took me to another site, and tried to get me to download something. There were also a lot of those ads that pop up when you linger over a word as well, which is the most irritating form of advertising I can think of. This photo blog is run by Hugh and Molly, who are committed to creating an environment that provides "amateur erotica for enlightened adults". It is driven by user submitted content, although it seems to only consist of Hugh and Molly at the moment. There are a few things that are different about this site. The owners will blur out all faces shown here, so folks who would normally be worried about identification and social repercussions may feel more comfortable. The owners will also never implement a comment or rating system, so folks can get the titillation of showing themselves while not having to deal with any abuse or creepy comments. There is a small amount of advertising, but it is done really tastefully and never gets in the way. You can write to the folks that run the site, and they will actually write you back. I love this blog. The subtitle captures the exact spirit of the place, "Diary of a Forty Five Year Honeymoon." Alfie and Emma met a very long time ago, and they have remained extremely passionate and loving. Married Exploits is a blog about *gasp* the exploits of a married couple, Penelope and Odysseus, as they explore their sexuality together. If you don't like blogs about happily married couples, stay away from this one because these two are just adorable and sound like they have a lot of fun together. Each member of the couple posts separately, and while they sometimes both have input on some posts, it's really interesting when one will comment on what the other has said in a previous post. These two blog about a lot of different things: they talk about their sex life, they talk about couples they want to/do get it on with, and they also post some hot photos of Penelope. On the side-bar is a sort of cast listing, explaining who the different couples they talk about are and how they met them. It's a cute touch and helped me keep things straight as I explored the archives. Dee's blog, SexyWhispers, seems to have a bit of a split personality: some of the posts are topped with a blue image, representing "blue moon whispers" and some are topped with a red image for "red city whispers." I suspect it has something to do with the site's affiliation with the company "Whispers Media" (an audio erotica distributor), but as near as I can tell, on the blog at least, red = posts about business and blue = posts about sexy fun. In any case, Dee says she created SexyWhispers as a way to help encourage women to feel more comfortable getting in touch with their own sexuality. I don't think the entire blog title fit into our Page Title block. It's "We Are the People Your Parents Warned You About". With entries dating to mid 2005, this blog is the product of a young swinger couple in the Maryland area. I really like this wordpress blog. It is about Mr. and Mrs. Manic Depressive, a couple that has been married for over twenty years. They manage to make sex a heck of a lot of fun together, and are great examples of how to keep the home fires burning! They have been online with this blog since around 2005, and the writing style here is very casual and chatty. The sex consists of not only what they do, but what they fantasize about while they do it. This is a unique addition to the collection of blogs we've reviewed here on Janesguide! This is the journal of a couple in a male dominant/female submissive relationship that practice a form of "hypnosis". HypnoMaster D and Hypnoslave e (along with various parts of their consciousness that they give different names or designations) share ideas, techniques, and experiences in this form of power exchange. Hypnomaster claims to have removed memories of events, added false memories, and created sensory illusions for his partner. That said, he is clear that "...[T]he hypnotism we practice is not a process of taking control of a sub's mind. Instead you're simply empowering your sub to be aware of her subconscious and let that part communicate with you more directly." They have "do it yourself" guides, interviews with the subconscious, and theories about healthy individuals that would identify their mind as a chorus of voices rather than singular. There are some caveats given, but not much in the way of safety or ethical issues is explored. That worries me a bit, so I'd recommend looking up some ethical guidelines for this sort of thing if you are interested. Be aware that even in areas of mental discipline like meditation there are well documented dangers, so do be careful.
