Bondage.com has been online for almost a decade now, starting from their origins as a labor of love produced by a couple of self-described web geeks from San Francisco. There is a good deal here that is free, starting with the highly active discussion forums and personals ads. You can post, browse, read, get email and so on all for free and it's a wonderful resource for that. If you upgrade to a paid membership (which we suggest if you use the site frequently, not unlike supporting public radio if you use it) you get a plethora of other features, like the personal ad matchmaker service, the huge photo archive (74,000+ images), video, and their library of BDSM articles and resources. All in all, a fabulous community site that we can't recommend highly enough.

I must admit, the blog url of "slavemustobey" really worried me. I figured I'd be going to one of those sites where I'd witness a bunch of swaggering uncaring stuff, which always puts me off. I couldn't have been further from the truth. Jack is a 50 something guy from Liverpool who is over the moon in love with his Lady B. Most of the entries are straight up fantasies that show affection, lust, and a large amount of fun. Jack shares his journey into BDSM with this lovely lady, but doesn't spend time talking about how he is Super Dom or anything like that. He just talks about what gets him hot, and that is refreshing. This is a thoroughly charming and very real romantic site that explores the relationship of a D/s couple. What I really like about it is that it isn't preachy, and it wasn't set up to be an information site. It basically came about because the submissive was learning HTML and it seemed like putting her poetry together in the new format she was learning just made a lot of sense. After she was done, her Master encouraged her to put it up on the web. The result? A page full of erotic D/s themed stories, dragon fantasy world erotica, pony tales, and more. The site is very poem heavy, including the (very good and very honest) section called "Our Story". I really recommend this part of the site to people, because it takes on some of the very raw emotions that are often a part of life and little spoken about. They tell the story of meeting in their forties, each of them in unhappy marriages with multiple issues. They talk about the internal moral struggle that they had about the relationship that bloomed between them, and how awful it felt to know how it would impact each of their families. They discuss step parenting, nasty divorces, and six years of learning to grow together as a couple. The section is short, but very poignant. It is often told in the third person, which is rather unusual, but interesting. I find myself wanting to quote all sorts of things from the site, but it is probably better if you go take a look yourself. In addition to what I've mentioned you'll also find some free D/s themed cards (for printing out) and essays about such topics as switching, ponyplay, mummification, canes, wax play, and bondage. There is also a very funny humorous poetry section that made me giggle. A site with a lot of personality that was obviously forged out of the yearning to communicate honestly and passionately. - Vamp

This story blog is about Elysium Island, which is a fictional country in which women are enslaved for domestic and sexual use. It is Gorean in flavor, but it is not a "Gor" story. The emphasis appears to be on the narrative, and there is actually very little blatant sex about the first four chapters and "visitor information" section that I read. While it isn't a RPG (role play game), it does allow for contributers to the storyline. It looks like three people are currently contributing. I don't see anything fresh since July, so you may have to check to see if they are still working on the project. The work so far is well done, however. It is definitely worth a read for those who are into extreme tales of female subjugation. - Vamp

Thomas S. Roche has been writing professionally since he was around seventeen. He is currently the Managing Editor over at Eros Zine, and has worked for some really great folks in the past (like Good Vibrations). He has written quite a few erotic books (in addition to writing so many published short stories, nonfiction articles, and reviews that he has lost track of how many are out there). This website lists some of the books that he is responsible for. If you click on a book, it brings you to a shop (like Amazon) where it can be purchased. You can get signed editions of some of his work through the author himself. If you want to look at some of his current short story work, you can check out his blog (which he links to on this site). There is usually a teaser and a link to where the rest of the story can be read. There are a bunch of reviews and other neat goodies in his blog as well. If you want to know more about the man himself (and his interests), then you can check out his livejournal link. There is a photo gallery on the site, but much to the disappointment of fans everywhere, he keeps his clothes on in every picture. He is a member of San Francisco Sex Information and has been inducted into the X-Rated Critics Organization. The site is very simple, but it leads to lots of information that I'm sure everyone will enjoy. I love it when a journal makes me feel a full spectrum of emotions, and this one sure did. There were moments when I was reading about Tess trying out a new sex toy or reading her erotica (such as the series Isabella's Eyes) in which I was excited, and other bits of her journal that reached into my feelings as a mother and as a human being looking for love. Tess describes herself as a suburban housewife in a marriage with a lot of problems. She is kinky, bi, and trying to sort out how in the heck to have a more satisfying life. I loved her writing. It was honest, and she never pulled any punches when things went "wrong". One sample of this, "But in this situation, I looked at this man walking away from the bed and I envisioned who I would have liked it to be and it damn near broke my heart all over again. My emotions were close to the surface to begin with; making myself vulnerable by putting myself into a D/s scene, mild as it was, just made them burst forth. I first read some of Vanna Vechian's Erotic stories back in 2002, and I liked them a lot back then and gave them a "Vamp's Pick" designation. Four years later, there are only more good things to say. The small collection of written work has exploded into a multitude of free stories, and the publication of some of her best work. Vanna loves to explore relationships in her pieces, whether those relationships are between a man and a woman or simply a woman's relationship with her own body. The emphasis is on eroticism and the the human condition rather than straight up pornography, and many of the stories are at least somewhat autobiographical in nature. If you are a Story of O fan, then you'll enjoy her contribution to that saga. Most of the time she writes from a female perspective, and there are quite a few BDSM inspired tales here. She points to other sites that contain her writing, as well as to her new ebook titled "Menagerie and other erotic stories." This site has a collection of downloadable ebooks offered in quite a few formats. They give a description of each one, and offer a short excerpt of the content. The books range from fairly straight forward erotica/porn to extremely hardcore BDSM. There is also a small selection of illustrated works. This is a one stop shopping center when it comes to BDSM knowledge. You'll find tons of essays, fiction, art, resource lists, quotes, and more. They have a really nice section called "Living Large" which is about size acceptance in bdsm. They have another section that specializes in Christian BDSM (a sometimes difficult-to-find topic of discussion). There is an advice column. Symbols of the subculture are explained, directories of BDSM bloggers are available, and this is still just the tip of the iceberg! Pam Rosenthal writes extremely well received erotic historical romance novels. On this site you can read excerpts of them, and find out where and how to order them. In addition to her more mainstream novels, she has written a couple under the pen name Molly Weatherfield that threaten to become modern classics in the BDSM genre. You can check these out by going to her Molly Weatherfield page on the same site. She writes "almost a blog" that manages to give you a bit of a look into her world, and there is a complete bio here that allows you to get a good idea of who the woman behind the stories is. The erotic poetry you'll find on this site is coquettish and sweet, but sometimes very naughty. Anne Tyson offers up four books of her original poetry that run the spectrum from slapstick cute to mild BDSM/damsel in distress stuff. Each book has several sample poems to read, and there is also at least one audio version (so you can hear what it sounds like spoken aloud). All of the stuff is one-on-one heterosexual, and the author says it is designed to be read aloud by women to men. The books are available for purchase through many outlets, including mainstream folks like Amazon. If you visit the site, be aware that there is audio on the index page that will alert anyone in the vicinity that you are visiting it. This is the journal of a young female slave who is "owned". It is still a rather new diary, but she is obviously doing a lot of thinking about her personal responsibility and identity in this style of relationship. This BDSM resource center has a handful of erotic stories, dozens upon dozens of poems, a collection of well known essays, a discussion board, and local scene info. My favorite part of it is on polyamory, however. In addition to the standard educational links you'll find the real jewel of this site. The site owners have written a journal called "A Year in Polyamory" that chronicles the first year of their search for a third member of their family. That is a very valuable and unique window into the world of poly that you just can't get from educational essays on the topic. D. Musgrave has amassed quite a collection of erotica here, ranging from short "flash" pieces to ongoing stories and novel length pieces. Most of the stories are fairly mainstream, and they all stay far away from any taboo topics like incest or rape. You'll mostly find bisexuality, a little dominance and submission, voyeurism, and your standard XXX variety lust. There are a few guest authors to choose from, and I think the variety makes the site even more delicious. I really love the idea of this site! It sells original ageplay erotic fiction that features submissive female characters often getting spankings from strong paternal figures (and the occasional Governess). They supply sample chapters, and you can sort stories by author. The site is very strict about making sure to have stories that clearly state that the participants are adults. Some of the stories are historical, but many are modern as well. They run the spectrum from romantic to severe spanking. My only issue with the site is that there isn't a wordcount for each piece offered, so it isn't clear how long the stories are going to be. The Sex Den claims to be an information and fiction site, that also has a toy store attached. It is free, but is divided into Members and Non-Members sections. Non-members are welcome to read the forums, reviews, and newsletters, but are blocked from the stories, articles, and other sections. Registration is free, but does take up to twenty-four hours to be confirmed. One of the features you can access as a member is a list of other members, with their self-supplied profiles, contact information, etc. Some of the stories and articles are decently written, although I found the number of links to other sites to be somewhat misleading--there is no visual difference between a link to an internal page for a review, story, or article and a link to another web site that opens in a new window. The toy reviews are clips from the catalog, with a place for reader comments. Some are helpful, some are not. The toy store is simply a set of links to Xandria or Adam and Eve, with a frame from The Sex Den placed around the other online store. Do you like to read erotic fiction? Do you like to download it to read on your computer, or even your PDA? Changeling Press provides almost 150 titles for download, by some 50 different authors. The download process is secure, and they take all sorts of credit cards as well as pay pal and telephone orders. The genres represented are generally within the sci-fi, fantasy, and horror realms, with a smattering of more traditional categories such as BDSM, Interracial, and so forth. Each book is accompanied by a cover illustration, a short summary and a brief excerpt to give you a taste before you buy. I found that with books cross listed in a number of categories the excerpt might show, for example, why it is an extremely steamy vampire novel, but might leave out the elements that make appropriate for the gay/bisexual listing. They do not accept returns, due to the nature of the medium, so it is important to read the summaries and excerpts carefully to make sure of your purchase before you buy. First off, I LOVE the disclaimer. It puts the onus of responsibility on the reader, and suggests that if you are underage you go talk to your parents before reading further. The stories are well written erotica. One story does mention a ìsonî talking about being spanked, but the age is not mentioned, and you can easily envision 18 year olds as the 'young men' in the story. The other tales are equally vague about the ages of the people involved - running away from burning villages, engaging in wife-swapping in the dark, fantasizing about spankings. Spankings and whippings are key to many of the pieces. His prose is well written and his attitude is fresh and new. The Historical Fiction is interesting and fascinating! The people are somewhat sketchily drawn, but the emotional content is raw, real, and sensually charged, even when it isn't specifically sexual. » More Info!
