Originally from Saskatchewan and now based in Vancouver, B.C., David Chan is a fine art nude and fetish photographer. He works in tandem with his wife, who does make-up, posing choreography, and more. Together they have created some nice work which is showcased here on this free site. Prices for prints of various sizes, either matted or not, are listed with each image and he accepts PayPal. Other shipment info was not listed and you should clarify your purchase via email. His work was included in a past Seattle Erotic Art Festival that I attended, and has been in other exhibitions as well. He welcomes private commissions and also advertises for models to apply. This is a thoroughly charming and very real romantic site that explores the relationship of a D/s couple. What I really like about it is that it isn't preachy, and it wasn't set up to be an information site. It basically came about because the submissive was learning HTML and it seemed like putting her poetry together in the new format she was learning just made a lot of sense. After she was done, her Master encouraged her to put it up on the web. The result? A page full of erotic D/s themed stories, dragon fantasy world erotica, pony tales, and more. The site is very poem heavy, including the (very good and very honest) section called "Our Story". I really recommend this part of the site to people, because it takes on some of the very raw emotions that are often a part of life and little spoken about. They tell the story of meeting in their forties, each of them in unhappy marriages with multiple issues. They talk about the internal moral struggle that they had about the relationship that bloomed between them, and how awful it felt to know how it would impact each of their families. They discuss step parenting, nasty divorces, and six years of learning to grow together as a couple. The section is short, but very poignant. It is often told in the third person, which is rather unusual, but interesting. I find myself wanting to quote all sorts of things from the site, but it is probably better if you go take a look yourself. In addition to what I've mentioned you'll also find some free D/s themed cards (for printing out) and essays about such topics as switching, ponyplay, mummification, canes, wax play, and bondage. There is also a very funny humorous poetry section that made me giggle. A site with a lot of personality that was obviously forged out of the yearning to communicate honestly and passionately. - Vamp

What a delight to find DeLano's new site. I had the pleasure of reviewing his former site - "DeLano in Distress" - seven years ago, and there has been a conscious evolution in that time, subtly reflected in the change of site name. Although he and I haven't met, we share many common friends and acquaintences. DeLano is a beautiful black man who is one of the better known rope bondage bottoms in North America. He is also becoming better known as a rope bondage instructor, and what isn't as well known is that he is starting to do more and more rigging and bondage photography himself. In this nice little free site you not only have several years of archives of rope bondage photography [mostly of him being bound, but also some of his own rigging], but you also have insightful narrative paragraphs. Political discourses, commentary on issues of race [being a black bondage bottom leads to those questions, obviously], and quite a little bit of insight into his own growth and evolution as a person. It's a charming and wonderful site, obviously one from the heart, and one I heartily recommend. - Peter

This is the free personal site of an artist with a real love for illustrating submissive young women in situations with significantly older (and often quite severe) women. Although some older men are shown as dominant characters, the center stage is taken up by angry looking grandmother types and nuns. There is often some sort of familial tie that is either suggested or stated. The galleries are without a storyline, but the artist is planning on adding commentary/story soon. There are fully illustrated short comic books, once again with the theme of older female relative/younger female relative in a punishment scenario. You can check out his works in progress or get custom artwork by commission. He won't handle an illustration of the underaged, male submissives, death, or bestiality. He also won't do likenesses, so don't ask. I think he is mostly interested in illustrating things that are very much on topic for him. I don't think I've ever said this before, but I recommend this journal to anyone that tends to respond to the world in a very "tactile" way. This writer tends to use quite a few words that bring up memories of tactile sensations, which may be a tribute to her concentrated focus on her own sensuality. Orchidea is a very intelligent woman that knows several languages, likes a good spanking, and happens to be very in love with the man in her life. She says she is sexually submissive, but not a submissive. The fact that the word "submissive" is often used as a noun seems to offend her. As you'd expect, her entries are thoughtfully crafted and very literary. Aside from the writing, you'll find some very nice artwork on the site. She was the figure model for all of it. - Vamp

I have to admit that I've been a fan of innocently beautiful Madison Young since I first saw her on the Nawashibari website years ago. Since that first encounter I've seen her images on just about every worthwhile, artistic bondage site around. She's worked with the best when it comes to photographers and bondage riggers, so it's nice to find this official website, with a compendium of gorgeously shot scenes. The preview area has shoot descriptions and several small images of each shoot posted. You can also find info on booking her for a shoot or event, along with a calendar with info on where she'll be next. You'll also find her LiveJournal, with updates quite often. Inside the members area you'll find a photo archive and video clips, though you'll have to navigate back to the free pages to go to the journal and other free content. The photo galleries are laid out nicely, with the Coppermine program which has all sorts of nifty features for saving things as favorites, rating photos, etc. Sorted into thumbnailed galleries, you click for a medium sized image, then click that one for a fullsize that will pop up in it's own window, which made browsing around the site easy. The video clips are small Quicktime MOV files, around a couple minutes each, currently all from a movie made with Ms. Julie Simone. At first I thought this was going to be another standard fetish gear site with the same stuff I see everywhere, and boy was I wrong! The people at Fetish Flair offer a lot of that stuff I was expecting, but they also offer many hard to find and custom pieces. Some of my favorites were The Humbler CBT device, Custom tooled leather collar, Rose Punch Crop, Leather Roses, and unusual END leather masks that look almost skull like. There is also a wide variety of canes, collars, numbered art prints, costumes, jewelry, and more! They have sizes up to 6X, so everyone can find something they can wear here. The contact and customer service info is easy to find. The size charts are available (and helpful advice about them is given). They list events they will be at, and have a really nice links section that many educational sites would envy. To top it off, they are offering dungeon design services and collaring ceremony planning and space rental! They apparently have a dungeon in St. Louis, and they state that "We are happy to coordinate every detail for you from the flowers to the custom collar. They have a really nice section called "Living Large" which is about size acceptance in bdsm. They have another section that specializes in Christian BDSM (a sometimes difficult-to-find topic of discussion). There is an advice column. Symbols of the subculture are explained, directories of BDSM bloggers are available, and this is still just the tip of the iceberg! This webzine is for those that like a "little bit of this" and a "whole lot of that". You'll find a wide selection of porn from pretty straightforward hardcore to erotic art. There is a video section as well, and it manages to be a grab bag of the unusual and the sexually graphic. You'll find vintage, BDSM, ethnic, "she-male", BBW. and more inside. There is also quite a bit of writing by the site owners and guest contributors that cover all sorts of subjects from political porn to the use of the alphabet during cunnilingus. I have to tell you how I found this guy...I was cruising the web using the keywords "alien sex". (Don't laugh, I know you do this sort of thing, just like I do!) Amongst the dross that I found, I saw this really stunning and artistic image of an alien (that I later came to understand is named TA) and a beautiful young woman. This led me to the photography site of Terry Donovan, who I then wrote to and asked if I could do a review for. I almost never do that. We are backlogged like you wouldn't believe at Jane's Guide, but this man's work is so unique and endearing that I had to call attention to it. He has become my new favorite photographer! As I mentioned, he has some very unique images of an alien doll and nude models. This sounds ridiculous at first, and maybe it is, but when you see what he's done with it you may find yourself very strangely moved. I know that I was. That said, I was even more titillated and intrigued by his images of action figures, a ventriloquist dummy (named Sid), and a whole bunch of other unusual cast members and toys that he employs to turn the tables on people and play with humans the way we usually play with dolls (at least if we are perverts). I was also drawn to a gallery of work in which he shows a fine art nude picture that he's taken, and a similar nude image of himself in the same pose. I love this "turning the tables" theme that he has going on. He subjects himself to the same vulnerability his subjects experience, and seeing the two images together creates this wonderful feeling of completeness somehow. I could go on and on about this quirky fellow, but I think it is best if you go discover him yourself. There may be finer technicians out there, but this guy has the corner market on creativity. Fréderic Levar is a fine art nude and fetish photographer who manages to capture a real sense of intimacy with his lens. I don't know whether this is due to his model being his lover and his muse, but when you look at his work you feel like you are actually transported into a very private moment that you are privileged to share with him. Gregory Scaff is an artist that paints Gothic, Fetish, Mythological, and Abstract Impressionist style pieces with an erotic edge. Sometimes the materials he chooses for this are very unusual, like human pubic hair or sperm. One of the more unique offerings he mentions are "fleshographs" which involve the painting of body parts that are pressed onto a surface and leave a print. On the adult toy side, he offers very original toys from art paddles to whips that you paint with. The thing I found the most intriguing was the paddle stamp pad with a word on it. I can imagine that being a pretty interesting tool, since you could stamp words all over someone while giving them a bit of a spanking. It is always a pleasure to review a fine art nude site, especially when the photographer has obviously cast aside the safety of convention and has flung him or herself unabashedly into the passion of the artform. Jeffrey McAlister has obviously done this, fully embracing his lust and following it where it leads. The images here are black and white, and run the spectrum from traditional facial portraiture to graphic close ups of women fingering their genitals. No subject is beyond him as he mixes religious imagery with sexuality in a sometimes shocking "Good Friday" section. I personally found those images very compelling. Although prices are not given on the work, there is contact info available if you are interested in purchasing something or getting some custom work done. If Picasso were a contemporary erotic artist, his work might look like that of Georgie Tier. This illustrator of the naughty and nice has an excellent sense of linear design and how positive and negative shapes interact in the creation of a composition. The pieces often show folks engaging in intercourse, masturbation, and fetish play... but they all are imbued with a sense of humor and joy that make even the darkest subjects somehow unintimidating! A favorite subject is the ponygirl, but there are some other very interesting "animals" such as bondage mermaids and rabbits. I've been meaning to review this site for quite awhile, and I am ashamed that it took so long. I've certainly been there enough, and sent a lot of people to this site in the past from my own blog. John T. Unger is getting quite a lot of buzz these days due to his "BadAss Paddles" which are made from reclaimed tire retread material and aluminum street signs. (The retread material would normally end up in landfills, if it wasn't being put to this clever use.) So, it is environmentally responsible and that makes you feel nice. The thing is, that isn't why these paddles are so popular. They are popular because they look like their name...badass. These things are very industrial and intimidating to gaze upon, and they leave behind tire tread marks on the bums that you smack with them. That may sound scary, but most of the BDSM folks that I know think it is the coolest thing since sliced bread. You don't have to actually hit anyone really hard to leave the marks, so even light spanks will leave the satisfying pattern. The paddles can be custom made to your specifications, right down to what the street sign says. I love that. The artist is also thinking of offering laser engraved ones next (and it sounds like you could special order one if you talked to him privately). That brings me to my favorite thing about this site, it isn't merely a place where you can buy a neat toy made by someone clever. This is a wonderful place to learn about an artist that explores the full spectrum of his talent and creates everything from erotic fine art mosaics (which are stunners) to metallic sculpture and t-shirt design. If you surf between his several blogs you will be pulled (happily) into his creative mind and extremely likable personality. So, while I'm going to recommend this place as a neat place to go get cool toys and see pretty pictures of spanked women, I'm also going to emphasize this one for the fine art lovers out there. This extremely literate and interesting person comes up with observations like, "Spanking Feels A Lot Like Action Painting...So is spanking an art? It's certainly a good way to lay down a little color." Lots of fun, and often very creativity provoking. There are lots of ways to contact the artist and the customer service info is somewhat clear. You'll need to talk to him about shipping and returns though, as that bit could be a lot clearer. All in all, a great artist site. Don't miss it! - Vamp
