I first encountered Carolyn's art years ago, in early 1997. She'd just put up her website, Art for Engineers, which at the time I sent out to our subscribers when we ran our now defunct newsletter. She was just embarking on her dream of becoming an artist.
Over the last years, her work has grown, branched out into new areas, gotten more explicit and explored everything from transsexuals to bondage to the beauty of a pregnant woman. Always, the dreamy, airy quality of her work remains. I feel like her paintings capture tiny bits of her seemingly boundless love - for her subject matter, her muses, all that is erotic.
Her work has been commissioned by Penthouse and her prints have been auctioned at Sotheby's in the annual fundraiser Take Home a Nude.
While I have always felt that the web cannot do justice to her work, I still wanted to share these images that she so graciously allowed me to pick. If you are in New York, you may be able to see them in real life, as she often participates in gallery shows. Prints are available on her website at very reasonable rates, via PayPal.

If you'd like to be notified of gallery shows and other events featuring her work, you can email her to ask to be included on her mailing list.
