Jon McDermott has been a professional photographer for the past twenty years. He began his career as a photographer for the Associated Press, Detroit Free Press and Chicago Tribune, before discovering that his true inspiration and calling was photographing the female form.
For the past ten years he's been creating fine art erotic portraiture. Jon's creation process is one rapidly becoming rare in a digital world: he shoots film, prints in a darkroom with split toning and hand tinting, then scans the images to do fine digital work. His work is available in giclee fine art prints, as well as handbound fine art books.
Jon's work has been shown for the past two years at the Seattle Erotic Arts Festival as well as at Gallery 154 in the Fremont area of Seattle.
Jon's latest project is a magazine, the first edition of which is planned for release in early 2005. He's currently looking for artists, photographers and writers who are willing to contribute work in exchange for exposure and print copies. Interested parties should visit his site (www.miragephotoandpublishing.com) and/or email him directly (firstname.lastname@example.org)for more information. He is also looking for Asian models to work with on a book project.
